For Ancient China's time they were ahead of other countries when it comes to their military strength and weapon technology. As they had invented gunpowder in the 9th century they had top-notch weaponry, with the gunpowder they had invented lots of weapons including a downgraded version of a rocket propelled grenade called the Huo Long Chu Shui (bottom Left) which we use quite alot in today in modern warfare.
